Customer Reviews

High Value for My Colored Diamonds

I have several colored diamonds that I wanted to sell: a blue sapphire diamond, a pink diamond, and a yellow diamond. I only have GIA certificates for some of them, and I wasn’t sure about their value without the certificates. I came to Jewel Cafe using the tissue and brochure I received from their staff last time. The environment is very appealing, and I felt safe because the store is located inside a shopping mall. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and I appreciated the compliments they gave while I waited during the evaluation.

This is a Japanese company’s recycling store in Indonesia, and they also buy unused jewelry, various luxury branded items, and watches. After completing the diamond appraisal, I was very pleased with the high value offered for all my colored diamonds. I also received a lucky draw prize and membership benefits. Cash payment was fast, though I preferred them to transfer it to my bank account due to the large amount. A trusted company for selling diamonds—I will return to sell my unwanted items again.

Selling My 0.5-Carat Colored Diamonds

I found Jewel Cafe on their website for colored diamond buyers. I had two yellow diamonds that I decided to sell, although they didn’t have GIA certificates. I came to Jewel Cafe for a free appraisal first, and the staff welcomed me warmly. They were very professional in evaluating my diamonds, checking the details of size and clarity.

I understood that the process would take some time, and while waiting, they served Japanese-style drinks and snacks. The environment was very comfortable. I read magazines and enjoyed the Kenny G music they were playing.

After the appraisal, the staff explained the quality of my diamonds and the 4C details. When they offered a price, I was very happy because it was almost the same as what I expected. They also added an extra 10% from the website promotion. This was fantastic! I really appreciated the membership benefits that I can use in the future. Payment was fast in cash, and the service was excellent.

Selling My High-Value Pink Diamond

I visited Jewel Cafe to sell my luxurious pink diamond set in a ring. This was my engagement ring, and I loved the pink diamond, but sadly I could no longer wear it, so I decided it was better to sell it.

As a Jewel Cafe member, I was very satisfied with the high value they offered for my 0.3 ct pink diamond along with the ring. Luckily, I had kept the GIA certificate. The staff were professional and conducted the appraisal based on the GIA certificate. I felt confident and safe transacting with them.

The staff remembered me from my previous visits, and as usual, they served fresh juice and delicious snacks. I also redeemed cash voucher during this transaction and additionally received a Lucky Wheel prize. I am truly delighted with Jewel Cafe’s service.

Diamond's 4Cs

About the 4Cs of Diamonds

There was no universal indicator for measuring diamonds until the mid-twentieth century. In certain conditions, the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) created the world's first standard for representing diamonds. Today, the Color / Clarity / Cut / Carat Weight '4C for Diamond Quality' is recognized worldwide as the international standard for assessing the quality of any diamond.
  • Colour

  • Clarity

  • Cut

  • Carat

The degree of colorlessness is typically used to assess the colour grade of gem-quality diamonds. Diamonds that are chemically pure and structurally perfect are colourless and have a higher value. The GIA colour level reliably tests colorlessness by contrasting it to colour samples of each colour grade under particular lighting conditions.

Color variations between diamonds can be slight and undetectable to the untrained eye, but these differences have a significant impact on the appearance and price of diamonds. The GIA colour rating system for determining the colour of diamonds is the most widely used in the global gem industry.

Diamond's initial 'D' reflects the highest level of transparency. The lower the rating, the yellower the product.

JEWEL CAFE
+FAQ for Color
Q
Why is the GIA color rating grade 'D-Z' instead of 'A-Z'?
A
Before the birth of the GIA color rating, there were no clear criteria, there was a mixture of rating grades such as 'A, B, C ...', '0, 1, 2 ...'', 'I, II, III ...'' and misleading subjective expressions such as 'Gemuru' and 'Blue White'. As a result, customers were sometimes confused. The GIA introduced levels with a 'D-Z' notation beginning with a 'D' to avoid confusion with current ones when determining a colour rating based on logical and straightforward standards. Other rating charts are rarely used now that the GIA colour rating has become a strong consistency standard and has spread across the world.
Q
Specifically, how do you determine the color of a diamond?
A
Human understanding of diamond colour is strongly impacted by the light source and background. As a result, GIA evaluates the colour by contrasting it to various colour samples that meet the requirements for evaluation under the given circumstances. Judgment will be made by two or more appraisers for each diamond. If the results of each judgment do not match, or depending on the weight and quality of the diamond, the judgment will be left to another appraiser. The rating grade will not be finalized until the judgment results are agreed upon.

About Color diamond

Diamonds are generally known as colourless and transparent diamonds, but diamonds are minerals of various colours and the colour of “colour diamond” is almost all colours. It is categorized as “colourless and transparent”, “white”, “yellow”, “orange”, “pink”, “red”, “purple”, “violet”, “blue”, “green”, “brown”, “grey” and “black”. The same colour as the rainbow existed. The 8 colours judged by the GIA (American Gemological Society) are “yellow”, “orange”, “pink”, “red”, “purple”, “violet”, “blue” and “green”. Basically, “white”, “grey”, “black” and “brown” are not included in the GIA colour chart. However, for example, the beautiful “brown” is out of the GIA appraisal, is called as “Cognac diamond” and is loved by people all over the world. The colour of diamond varies from ten to thousands of ppm in the mantle during crystallization which is ten to thousands of diamonds per million carbon atoms. The colour of diamond changes as it is incorporated into the crystal lattice. Therefore, colour diamonds are incomplete as carbon crystals and many natural colour diamonds are determined by the combination of the proportion of nitrogen atoms and the surrounding carbon atoms. For example, a pink diamond is created by the combination of nitrogen atom into the crystal lattice and then eliminating the adjacent carbon atom. It will become a blue diamond if the diamond contains about 0.06 ppm of boron atoms (6 boron atoms out of 100 million carbon atoms). Since nitrogen and boron are small elements compare to carbon atoms in the mantle and colour diamond has picked up extremely rare element in the mantle, therefore, colour diamond is inevitably a rare and becomes an expensive item. When we purchase your colour diamonds, of course we look for diamonds in good condition, but we also actively buying colour diamond which have missing part or with scratches. Therefore, please visit us for colour diamond assessment. We are confident with the colour diamond buying price.

Tips of Diamond Jewelry
1 Carat Diamond Necklace With Certificate

Tips of Diamond Jewelry
1 Carat Diamond Necklace With Certificate

Big solitaire diamond necklaces are a classic piece of diamond jewellery. It's a jewellery that literally fastens the diamond, removes needless development, and highlights the diamond's initial beauty at the collar, but the big diamond has a greater appearance and offers an elegant performance. As a result, many jewellery stores sell this item, but we also purchase a lot of them at our shop adding to purchase higher-quality diamonds or are tired of designing as the main reason.

There was a period when higher-quality diamonds were used for rings, then for necklaces, and finally for earrings, depending on the use. Since I was looking at the diamond closer to my own eyes, I preferred to concentrate on quality as much as possible when it came to rings. Earring are casually guided because necklaces tense to draw more attention. Each has a specialized role, and diamonds can be used effectively.

The grade of the diamond may be clearly labelled, particularly in the case of a large diamond necklace with a single stone (solitaire), but there are distributors that use diamonds with a slightly lower rank in the above period. Therefore, when purchasing a new item, we recommend that you choose a necklace with a certificate that clearly states the quality of the diamond.

Also, if you want to buy a new design necklace or replace it with a higher-grade diamond, please come to Jewel Cafe, where you can sell your diamonds at a high price.
